Connecticut announces 6% decrease in comp rates in 2025

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont on Wednesday announced a 6% rate average decrease for workers compensation insurance beginning Jan. 1, 2025.

The Connecticut Insurance Department approved the annual rate filing, calling it the 11th consecutive year of rate decreases for workers compensation insurance coverage for employers.

The trend reflects a continued decline in workplace injuries and filed claims, according to a statement from the governor’s office.
