Cowbell partners with Zurich to add management liability coverage

Cowbell, a Pleasanton, California-based cyber insurer, said Thursday it has expanded its partnership with Zurich North America to broaden its product portfolio in the U.S. for small and mid-size businesses.

Cowbell will offer Zurich Select Plus, a co-branded suite of coverages, including directors and officers, employment practices liability, crime and fiduciary insurance. Limits of up to $5 million are available depending on the risk profile and industry segment.

Coverage will be distributed through the excess and surplus lines channel to small and mid-sized private businesses, Cowbell said.

With the launch, Cowbell now offers cyber, technology errors and omissions, and management liability coverage through its API and proprietary email automation platform.

Cowbell last year announced it had secured a $60 million investment led by Zurich Insurance Group.
