Munich Re Specialty North America launches life sciences coverage

Munich Re Specialty North America on Thursday announced the launch of a life sciences coverage program.
The coverage is designed for companies involved in pharmaceutical production, clinical trials, animal health, medical device manufacturing and dietary supplements, the insurer said.
The program offers $5 million per claim and $5 million in aggregate coverage for medial product liability, errors and omissions, premises liability, cyber and tech E&O and medical professional liability.
James Craig, currently Munich RE Specialty North America’s senior vice president of underwriting, will lead the new business.
Mr. Craig previously was vice president of life sciences underwriting at Everest Insurance and an assistant vice president of underwriting in the health care and life sciences segment at CNA Insurance, according to his LinkedIn profile.
