Choice Financial names Hilb chairman, appoints 2 new execs

Choice Financial Group on Thursday announced leadership moves that included naming CEO Bob Hilb chairman.
The Virginia Beach, Virginia-based brokerage also named Troy Dillow president and chief operating officer and Joe Harrow executive vice president of the Mid-Atlantic.
Mr. Hilb was named CEO of Choice in 2022 upon the retirement of founder and president J. Richard Braun, who remains on the board. He will retain the CEO title in addition to chairman.
Mr. Dillow had been Choice’s executive vice president of operations. He previously was president of Green Harvest Insurance and president and owner of Bernier Insurance, both in Rochester, New Hampshire.
Mr. Harrow founded Williamsburg, Virginia-based Middle Peninsula Insurance, which TowneBank acquired in 2019. He was president of Towne Insurance’s Virginia market and most recently was chief development officer at VersAbility Resources, a nonprofit supporting people with disabilities. His initial focus will include Maryland; Washington, D.C.; West Virginia; North Carolina; South Carolina, Choice Financial said.
