Cyber risks are execs’ most cited top concern

Cyber risks were the most widely cited top concern for business leaders in a survey conducted by The Hartford Insurance Group Inc.

Seventy-two percent of business leaders said cybersecurity and cyberattacks were a top challenge for their companies, the insurer said.

Economic trends, including inflation, were the second-most cited concern, with 69% of respondents naming it a top challenge.

Rounding out the top five were supply chain disruption, cited by 62%, finding and retaining talent, 61%, and worker safety, 57%.

Other top concerns include reputational risk, U.S politics and the political environment, the role of artificial intelligence, natural catastrophes, climate change and geopolitical conflicts.

The Hartford said it surveyed more than 400 business leaders at large and midsized companies. The company released the results Tuesday.
