WTW names new Canada head for corporate risk unit

Willis Towers Watson PLC on Tuesday named Grant Williamson as Canada leader within its Corporate Risk and Broking business.

He replaces Erin Magilton, who has left the company.

Mr. Williamson, who is based in Toronto, now reports to Ionel Rizea, chief commercial officer, CRB North America.

Mr. Williamson joined Willis last year as deputy regional leader, chief commercial officer and head of strategy and execution in Canada. Before that, he held senior roles at Marsh LLC and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada Inc.

Separately, Willis named Linda Fisher, formerly of Marsh McLennan Agency, as leader for law firms within the financial services and professional services division in Corporate Risk & Broking North America.

Ms. Fisher, based in Chicago, reports to FIPS leader Brad Messinger. She previously was managing director within the national law firm practice at MMA, the small and mid-sized brokerage unit of Marsh LLC. Before that she held various roles at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. and Old Republic Professional Liability Inc.
