Zurich names head of construction

Zurich North America on Monday named Tobias Cushing head of construction.

New York-based Mr. Cushing will report to Kelly Kinzer, head of specialties.

Mr. Cushing most recently was deputy chief underwriting officer. He joined Zurich as head of construction casualty in 2022 and has held several underwriting leadership roles.

Prior to joining Zurich, he held senior positions at The Hartford Insurance Group Inc., including head of construction.

Zurich’s specialties unit comprises energy, marine, accident & health, construction, surety and financial lines.
