Zurich promotes Fox, Caminiti as Lavelle retires

Zurich North America on Thursday named Heather Fox head of its U.S. national accounts business, succeeding Paul Lavelle, who will retire June 1.

Previously, New York-based Ms. Fox was the insurer’s chief underwriting officer. She joined Zurich in 2023 from ARC Excess & Surplus LLC, where she was general counsel and chief brokerage officer. Prior to joining ARC in 2009, she spent 12 years at American International Group Inc.

Zurich’s U.S. national accounts division provides coverage to large national and multinational companies.

Schaumburg, Illinois-based Peter Caminiti succeeds Ms. Fox as CUO. Previously, he was head of underwriting U.S. national accounts. He joined Zurich from Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in 2014.

Mr. Lavelle joined Zurich in 2018 as chief claims officer and was named head of national accounts in 2022. Previously, he worked at various insurers, including Allied World Insurance Co. and AIG.
