James Kent, who was recently named CEO, global insurance strategic relationships, will leave Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. next month.
London-based Mr. Kent, who previously was CEO of Gallagher Re, “plans to retire from Gallagher with effect from 1 June,” a Gallagher statement said.
Mr. Kent joined Gallagher in 2021 through its acquisition of Willis Towers Watson PLC’s treaty reinsurance brokerage operations. He had been CEO of Willis Re since 2017.
Named global reinsurance CEO after the acquisition, he was named to his most current position in March and was succeeded as CEO of Gallagher Re by Tom Wakefield.
