Sedgwick acquires Orchid Medical

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. announced Thursday it has acquired Orchid Medical Inc., a provider of ancillary medical management solutions for the workers compensation industry.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Orchid was founded in 2002 as a provider of durable medical equipment and medical supplies. The Orlando, Florida-based company now offers additional services including surgical implant cost containment, home and vehicle modification services, and physical medicine.
