Pinnacol hires new president and CEO from Allstate

Colorado-based workers compensation insurer Pinnacol Assurance announced Thursday it has hired former Allstate executive John O’Donnell to serve as president and CEO.

Mr. O’Donnell will join the company Feb. 28 and succeed Phil Kalin, who is retiring March 31.

Mr. O’Donnell most recently served as executive vice president at Allstate, president of its Western Territory, and board chair of Allstate Canada where he was responsible for 27 states and the Canadian company. His other roles at Allstate included senior vice president of agency operations and president and CEO of Allstate Canada.
