The Hartford Insurance Group Inc. said Wednesday it named Prateek Chhabra chief risk officer, effective Sept. 1.
He succeeds Robert Paiano, who will retire at the end of the year.
Mr. Chhabra will report directly to The Hartford’s chairman and CEO, Christopher Swift.
Mr. Chhabra is currently senior vice president and chief insurance risk officer. Prior to joining the insurer in 2018, he was chief risk officer for domestic businesses at The Hanover Insurance Group. Before that he held various risk and strategy consulting roles at McKinsey & Co., Aon PLC and Verisk Inc., formerly AIR Worldwide.
Mr. Paiano will continue as an adviser from Sept. 1.
