Higginbotham named Andrew Reutter, a former executive at its private-equity capital backer Stone Point Capital LLC, as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.
Mr. Reutter led Stone Point’s capital markets division and served on Higginbotham’s board.
Previously, Jim Krause was CFO and Micky Shepherd was COO. Mr. Krause was named chief business development officer and Mr. Shepherd was named chief administrative and people officer of the Fort Worth, Texas-based brokerage.
Mr. Reutter said in a statement that he will focus on operational and financial strategy.
“That means finding ways to be more efficient, optimizing relationships, streamlining daily processes and thoughtfully leveraging tools like AI and automation to help our people work smarter,” he said.
Higginbotham, which remains majority employee-owned, is the 19th-largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
