Fusion brings on ex-Berkshire executive

Managing general agent Fusion Specialty Insurance Pty Ltd. announced Wednesday that former Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Inc. executive Robert Underhill has joined the firm as head of Americas.

Mr. Underhill will lead Fusion’s strategic expansion in North and South America, including a team of new hires. He is based in New York.

Mr. Underhill was most recently global head of transactional liability at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he launched and led its mergers and acquisitions transactional liability business across the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway, Mr. Underhill was a partner at law firm Locke Lord LLP in the transactional and regulatory insurance practice group.
