Axa XL, the property/casualty and specialty risk division of France’s Axa SA, said Tuesday it named Ed Totten head of construction casualty.
The move consolidates primary and excess casualty lines under his leadership, Axa XL said.
Mr. Totten is based in Philadelphia and reports to Jon Tellekamp, Axa XL’s chief underwriting officer for construction and energy in the Americas, a spokesperson said in an email.
Mr. Totten had been senior vice president and profit center head for excess construction at Axa XL since 2010.
Axa XL said in October 2022 that Michael McKinley had been promoted to lead construction primary casualty insurance in North America. The company declined to comment on his status.
