Alera names new CFO

Alera Group announced Monday that former AssuredPartners Chief Financial Officer Mark Hammond will join the brokerage as CFO, effective Nov. 17.

Mr. Hammond will report to Alera CEO Jim Blue and serve on the executive leadership team.

Mr. Hammond was most recently executive vice president and CFO at AssuredPartners, where he led financial operations and strategy. Before joining AssuredPartners in 2022, he held senior financial roles at Chubb, Aviva, Orion Auto and Deloitte.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. completed its $13.45 billion acquisition of AssuredPartners in August.
