Atain teams with Vanguard Specialty on excess program

Atain Insurance Cos., a unit of H.W. Kaufman Group, will provide capacity for an excess professional liability policy offered through managing general agent Vanguard Specialty, the insurer said Thursday.

The policy provides limits of up to $5 million for coverage aimed at insurance agents and brokers, title agents, real estate agents, lawyers, property managers, collection agencies and home inspectors, an Atain statement said.

The agreement marks the second relationship Atain has forged with a specialty intermediary outside of its affiliates. Last year it partnered with Vikco Insurance Services LLC to offer a difference in conditions earthquake insurance program.
