Alera names Englert leader in Northeast

Alera Group Thursday named Mark Englert managing director of its Northeast region.
New York-based Mr. Englert will work with property/casualty and employee benefits practice leaders and regional offices, an Alera statement said.
He joined the Deerfield, Illinois-based brokerage from USI Insurance Services LLC in 2018 and was named executive vice president and national property/casualty practice leader in 2019.
New York-based Justin Foa will succeed Mr. Englert. Mr. Foa, previously regional director Tri-state, joined Alera through its purchase of Foa & Son in 2022.
In addition, Alera has hired Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based Ben Lemann as senior vice president and national director of small commercial. Previously, he was president of small commercial at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
