Tokio Marine appoints president of new health care unit

Tokio Marine HCC on Monday named Greg Hamlin, formerly with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, president of its newly launched healthcare professional liability business.

He will be based in New York and report to Susan Rivera, CEO of TMHCC.

The new business unit will provide excess professional and umbrella liability coverage to hospitals and health systems nationwide.

Mr. Hamlin previously was senior vice president for institutional accounts at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty. Prior to that he led the large hospital and medical facilities segments at Zurich North America.
