Everest Group announced Monday that it appointed Gary Haase executive vice president and CEO of legacy operations, effective Dec. 1.
Mr. Hasse will report to President and CEO Jim Williamson and will join the executive leadership team.
Everest recently announced the sale of the renewal rights of its commercial retail insurance business to American International Group, releasing an estimated $2 billion in premiums.
Mr. Haase most recently was an executive adviser to private equity and technology firms on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that he was executive vice president and chief operating officer at CNA. Before joining CNA in 2021, he was group chief operating officer at Catalina Holdings (Bermuda), where he managed global run-off and operational strategies.
