Aon unit buys Delaware agency

NFP, the middle-market unit of Aon PLC, said Thursday it had bought Lyons Insurance Agency Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware.

Terms were not disclosed.

Lyons, which has 33 employees, places commercial, personal lines and employee benefits business and offers captive consulting services.

David Lyons and Tim Lyons will be senior vice presidents of NFP and report to Meg McSherry, managing director of property/casualty for the broker’s Atlantic region, NFP said in a statement.
