Markel promotes casualty execs in Southeast region

Markel, the insurance unit of Markel Group Inc., said Friday it has promoted Nan Fine to managing director, casualty, Southeast region, Markel Specialty, and Hillary Warren to manager for commercial wholesale excess casualty, Southeast region.

Ms. Fine will provide strategic oversight to casualty lines, including health care risk solutions, primary casualty, and excess casualty, which will now report to her, Markel said in a statement. She reports to Steve Girard, regional president, Southeast region.

Ms. Fine, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, was most recently senior director, casualty, Southeast region.

In her new role, Ms. Warren leads the excess casualty team in the Southeast region and reports to Ms. Fine.

Ms. Warren, based in Plano, Texas, was most recently a senior underwriter.
