Aon hires former Marsh construction insurance execs

Aon PLC said Monday it has hired former Marsh LLC construction insurance executives Rob McDonough and Brian Hodges.

New York-based Mr. McDonough will be CEO of construction, infrastructure and surety, North America, an Aon statement said. Previously, he was U.S. construction industry leader at Marsh. He joined Marsh in 2016 after 22 years at Aon.

Washington-based Mr. Hodges will be head of surety, North America, Aon said. Previously, he led Marsh’s U.S. surety and subcontractor default insurance practice. He joined Marsh in 2021 after over 25 years at Zurich North America.

Both executives will report to Brian Wanat, head of commercial risk for North America at Aon.
