Marsh names Amy Barnes global head of energy and power

Marsh LLC Wednesday named Amy Barnes global head of energy and power.
She succeeds and will report to Andrew George, who was recently named president of Marsh Specialty.
London-based Ms. Barnes will retain her current role as head of climate and sustainability strategy, Marsh said.
Ms. Barnes joined Marsh in 2001 as an environmental consultant and has held various senior positions in the U.S. and United Kingdom. Prior to her current role she led the U.S. and Canada energy and power practice in Houston.
Ms. Barnes was a 2017 Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree.
Marsh also announced that Andrew Herring was appointed global chair of energy and power, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Mr. Herring joined Marsh in 2010 and has led the U.K. energy and power team since 2012. He will continue to be based in London.
