Amwins names next CFO

Specialty insurance wholesaler Amwins announced Tuesday that David Lavins will succeed Darrin Stafford as chief financial officer on July 1.

Mr. Lavins is currently president of managing general agent Amwins Access and was previously its chief operating officer.

Mr. Stafford, who is retiring, has served as CFO of Amwins since October 2016. He will serve as a strategic advisor to the company regarding its ongoing succession planning after his retirement, Amwins said in a statement.

Nate Mathis will replace Mr. Lavins as president of Amwins Access. Mr. Mathis joined Amwins in 2011 and has spent the last three years as president of Amwins Global Risks.
