Banyan Risk hires former Aon exec as chief commercial officer

Banyan Risk Ltd. Monday named former Aon PLC executive Jamie Powell chief commercial officer.

Based in Bermuda and reporting to co-CEO Peter Horrobin, Mr. Powell will focus on strengthening trading relationships with key clients and brokerage partners in this newly created position, Banyan said on LinkedIn.

Mr. Powell was most recently managing director for Aon Bermuda.

Managing general agent Banyan was launched by SiriusPoint Ltd. in July 2021 to underwrite directors and officers insurance.
