Burns & Wilcox appoints leaders in New York and Chicago

Burns & Wilcox on Tuesday named Alex Gargano, formerly with excess and surplus personal lines insurer Vault, as managing director to oversee its operations in New York and the Tri-State area.

Erica Rangel was promoted to associate managing director of the broker’s Chicago office.

New York-based Mr. Gargano reports to Doug Legters, regional vice president, Northeast.

Mr. Gargano previously was senior vice president, underwriting E&S, at Vault. Prior to that he held various leadership roles at American International Group Inc.

Ms. Rangel previously was manager, professional liability practice, at Burns & Wilcox. She joined the company in 2018 and prior to that held various roles at RT Specialty and CRC Group.
