Hollingsworth named deputy chief risk officer at L.A. school district

Melissa Hollingsworth has been named deputy chief risk officer at the Los Angeles Unified School District.

It is a newly created role for California’s largest school district.

Ms. Hollingsworth, formerly enterprise risk manager at the Atlanta Housing Authority, was a 2023 Business Insurance Women to Watch winner.  She will report to the district’s chief risk officer Dawn Watkins, who was a 2017 Women to Watch winner.
