Ryan Specialty names president, COO of Ryan Financial Lines

Ryan Specialty LLC Wednesday named Richard Winborn president of Ryan Financial Lines, its international financial lines managing general underwriter, effective Jan. 1, 2025.

Mr. Winborn, based in London, was most recently managing partner of Themis, a division of Innovisk Capital Partners LLP, which Ryan Specialty acquired last month.

Patrick Mitchell, currently chief underwriting officer at Ryan Financial Lines, will take on the additional role of chief operating officer.

New York-based Mr. Mitchell joined Ryan Financial Lines earlier this year from Coalition Inc.

Ryan Specialty late last year combined the operations of several of its managing general underwriters to form Ryan Financial Lines.
