Zurich Resilience Solutions adds tool to help manage climate risks

Zurich Resilience Solutions, a unit of Zurich Insurance Group Ltd., has launched Climate Spotlight, an interactive digital tool to help businesses and public entities manage climate-related risks.

The tool is offered in two versions: Core, a live self-service dashboard that identifies climate risk exposure for up to 100 sites worldwide, and Expert, which provides tailored data and metrics and consultation with in-house climate risk experts.

Climate Spotlight is available for a fee to Zurich policyholders and other businesses, said Arooran “Aroo” Sivasubramaniam, head of Zurich Resilience Solutions for North America.

“The Core version is targeted to our middle-market customers,” while the Expert version is suited to large global businesses, Mr. Sivasubramaniam said in an interview.

The tool helps businesses make strategic capital application decisions, including where to locate their sites and how to strengthen roof infrastructure to withstand changing climate-related exposures, such as extreme heat and precipitation, he said.
