High Street buys Florida agency

High Street Insurance Partners Inc. said Monday it has acquired Palm Beach, Florida-based Flagler Insurance Agency.

Flagler has three offices in the state and about 25 staff. It places commercial and personal lines business, specializing in coverage for the equestrian, commercial real estate and financial services industries, Traverse City, Michigan-based High Street said in a statement.

Tyler Schapiro, president of Flagler, will continue to lead the agency, which will become part of High Street’s Gulf region, the statement said.

High Street is the 25th largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
