Alliant hires former WTW M&A leaders

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. said Tuesday it has hired Mark Rusas, former longtime mergers and acquisitions leader at Willis Towers Watson PLC, as executive vice president, managing director within the M&A vertical at Alliant Specialty.

New York-based Mr. Rusas will co-lead the M&A specialty practice with Jonathan Gilbert, managing director, and Daniel Schoenberg, executive vice president. He reports to Michael Cusack, executive vice president, senior managing director at Alliant Specialty.

Mr. Rusas previously was head of the private equity and transaction solutions group within Corporate Risk and Broking, North America at WTW.

Peter Miraglia, another former M&A leader at WTW, was named executive vice president within the M&A vertical at Alliant Specialty.

New York-based Mr. Miraglia previously worked in a chief operating officer capacity in the M&A group at WTW. He will focus on insurance due diligence and provide property/casualty and management liability coverages for private equity deals in the newly created role.
