Ryan Specialty MGU hires new president

Ryan Specialty managing general underwriter Irwin Siegel Agency announced Friday it has hired Nick Greggains as president.

Mr. Greggains will help finalize the launch of ISA’s excess and surplus platform, the Rockhill, New York-based MGU said in a statement.

He was most recently CEO of Ascot US Holding Corp. unit Ethos Specialty Insurance Services LLC and prior to that was CEO of New York-based Pioneer Underwriters US, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Ryan Specialty announced earlier this month the acquisition of property/casualty managing general underwriters owned by Ethos from Ascot Group Ltd. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
