RT Specialty announces appointments

RT Specialty, the wholesale distribution division of Ryan Specialty Group, on Thursday announced a series of leadership appointments, effective Oct. 1.

Seth Johnson, currently president of RT Binding Authority, which comprises three underwriting specialties of commercial lines, personal lines and transportation, will become CEO of RT Binding. Mr. Johnson joined RT Specialty in 2019 when it acquired Atlantic Specialty lines Inc.

Jonathan Reiner, currently president of RT ProExec, RT Specialty’s national professional and executive liability practice, will become CEO. Mr. Reimer joined RT Specialty when it was founded in 2010 and will continue his role as a broker and team leader of the production team.

Hugh Mooney will become president of RT Specialty’s national property practice in addition to his current role as regional executive vice president. Mr. Mooney joined RT Specialty through its 2020 acquisition of All Risks Ltd.

Ryan Grimes will become president of RT Specialty’s national casualty practice in addition to his current role as regional executive vice president. Mr. Grimes joined RT Specialty in 2020 when it acquired All Risks.

Leah Ohodnicki, formerly with Ethos Specialty Insurance LLC, will become executive vice president, carrier relations, a newly created role. Ms. Ohodnicki previously was an executive vice president and interim head of casualty programs at Ethos, which was recently acquired by RT Specialty.

Tim Lomas, currently vice president, will become executive vice president, finance. Mr. Lomas joined RT Specialty in 2015.

The promotions follow recently announced executive leadership changes at Ryan Specialty and the promotion of Timothy W. Turner to CEO.
