Axa XL names leader of construction risk engineering team, Americas

Axa XL, a unit of Axa SA, said Wednesday it has promoted Peter Ukstins to lead its construction risk engineering team in the Americas.

He succeeds longtime leader Scott Merchant, who retired in July.

Mr. Ukstins, who is based in the Baltimore/Washington area, previously was senior risk engineer consultant and team leader for Axa XL’s subcontractor default insurance risk engineering team. He joined Axa XL in 2019 from James G. Davis Construction.
