Zurich names former AIG leader head of financial lines

Zurich North America Wednesday named Nora Hattauer, previously a senior management liability executive at American International Group Inc., as head of financial lines for its national accounts and middle-market business.

Atlanta-based Ms. Hattauer will report to Paul Lavelle, head of U.S. national accounts, with “dual accountability” to Alex Wells, head of middle market, Zurich said in a statement.

In August, Brian Zink, former head of financial lines for U.S. national accounts at Zurich, joined Everest Insurance.

Ms. Hattauer joined AIG in 2005 after working at Chubb Ltd. and St. Paul Cos. Inc., rising to head of management liability for national accounts.

In 2022, she was one of the Business Insurance Women to Watch.
