Amwins combines transportation MGAs

Amwins Group Inc. Wednesday said it has combined managing general agents Amwins Transportation Underwriters and National Truck Underwriting Managers to form Amwins National Transportation Underwriters.

The newly combined entity will have more than $250 million in annual premium and almost 80 employees across eight locations, Amwins said in a statement.

Justin Joyce, formerly president of National Truck Underwriting Managers, will lead the new Amwins National Transportation Underwriters binding unit, the statement said.
