Liberty Mutual launches mid-size life sciences practice

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. said Monday it has hired former Chubb Ltd. underwriter Tory Agnich to head its newly launched practice for mid-sized companies in the life sciences sector.

Dallas-based Ms. Agnich will be chief underwriting officer of the practice, which is part of several other mid-market verticals at Liberty Mutual, including private equity, energy, construction and public entities.

Previously, she spent 24 years at Chubb, where she was most recently a senior vice president.
