Lloyd’s to open Miami office

Lloyd’s of London said Wednesday it will open an office in Miami, effective Sept. 1.

Lloyd’s said the move should strengthen its Latin America and Caribbean business which accounted for 4.6% of the market’s $2.7 billion gross written premium in 2023.

The Miami hub will support brokers, coverholders and managing agents in Latin America and the Caribbean, and service Lloyd’s Americas business. The Americas region accounts for nearly two-thirds of Lloyd’s premium.

Lloyd’s already has offices in New York, Rio de Janeiro and Toronto.
