NFP hires former American Global surety leader

NFP Corp., a unit of Aon PLC, said Thursday it has hired former American Global LLC surety leader Jim Merrill, as senior vice president, construction and infrastructure.

He reports to John Hyland, managing director and co-leader of NFP’s construction and infrastructure group.

Mr. Merrill, based in New York, previously was senior vice president, surety, at American Global and prior to that held construction and infrastructure leadership positions at Keystone Global Strategies LLC, formerly Star America Capital Advisors LLC, and General Electric Co.
