Patriot buys agriculture insurance brokerage

Patriot Growth Insurance Services LLC said Thursday it has bought FBN Insurance LLC from Farmers Business Network, expanding is agriculture insurance business.

Terms were not disclosed.

Fort Washington, Pennsylvania-based Patriot renamed FBN, which has more than 50 staff, Momentum Ag. The agency offers crop, livestock and health insurance.

Patriot, which has grown rapidly through acquisitions since its founding in 2019, is the 26th largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
