Higginbotham buys Louisiana agency

Higginbotham announced Monday that it has acquired Metairie, Louisiana-based Eagan Insurance.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eagan, established in 1954, specializes in commercial property/casualty, employee benefits and personal lines and has more than 90 employees.

Fort Worth, Texas-based Higginbotham is the 21st largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to the most recent ranking by Business Insurance.
