EEOC chair Charlotte Burrows confirmed for third board term

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday reconfirmed Charlotte A. Burrows, who is chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, to her third term on the board, in a 51-47 vote that was along party lines.

Ms. Burrows’ term expires on July 1, 2028.

She was first nominated in 2015 and unanimously confirmed for a second term in 2019. President Biden designated Ms. Burrows, a Democrat, as EEOC chair in January 2021, replacing Republican Janet Dhillon.
