DeNexus hires former Securis ILS executive

DeNexus Inc. on Thursday named former Securis Investment Partners LLP executive George Mawdsley head of risk solutions.

Mr. Mawdsley will focus on developing risk transfer solutions for the cyber insurance and insurance-linked securities markets, DeNexus said in a statement.

He reports to Jose Seara, founder and CEO of DeNexus.

Mr. Mawdsley most recently spent 10 years in the structuring and origination of ILS risk at Securis. Before that, he was Lloyd’s of London special risks underwriter at Hiscox Ltd. in London, the statement said.

DeNexus develops models to quantify cyber risk in support of the cyber insurance, reinsurance, and cyber ILS markets, according to its statement.
