Aspen, Surefire collaborate on cyber risk

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. on Monday said it will launch Aspen Cyber Risk Services in partnership with Surefire Cyber, a cyber incident response company.

Aspen Cyber Risk Services will be provided on primary policies sold globally, and will include services such as incident response, digital forensics, negotiation and restoration capabilities. Surefire Cyber can also help Aspen policyholders assess their cyber readiness and resiliency, and Aspen statement said.

Aspen’s primary cyber insureds will be able to select one tailored service at no charge during each policy period, include a technical tabletop exercise; a ransomware resilience assessment; a cybersecurity improvement plan; and legal tabletop exercise or code red alerts.

Billy Gouveia, Surefire Cyber CEO, said in the statement that while “Ransomware continues to plague organizations across all industries,” proper planning can mitigate the risk.
