Guy Carpenter hires Scor executive for EMEA position

Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, the reinsurance brokerage unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., Wednesday named former Scor SE CEO Laurent Rousseau to the newly created position of Guy Carpenter CEO of EMEA and Global Capital Solutions, effective Sept. 4, 2023.
Mr. Rousseau will have executive oversight of Guy Carpenter’s businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, as well as GC Securities and Global Risk Solutions, which includes the broker’s structured risk practice, according to a Guy Carpenter statement. He will also work with other Marsh units such as Mercer and Oliver Wyman on behalf of clients.
He will be based in London and report to Dean Klisura, Guy Carpenter president and CEO. Mr. Rousseau will also join the Guy Carpenter executive committee.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Mr. Rousseau was CEO of Scor, where he had a 13-year career, the statement said.
