Aspen hires former AIG exec as chief operations officer, insurance

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. on Tuesday named former American International Group Inc. executive Robert Tartaglia as senior vice president, chief operations officer, insurance, effective July 3.

Based in Jersey City, New Jersey, Mr. Tartaglia will lead transformation efforts across Aspen’s insurance operations in the newly created role.

Mr. Tartaglia was previously operational strategy and growth leader at AIG and prior to that worked in senior global and transformation roles at various companies, including Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE and Aon PLC.
