Aon, Lloyd’s and VIG in pact to commit to Ukraine insurance

(Reuters) — Aon PLC, Lloyd’s and Vienna Insurance Group will join forces to provide coverage for Ukraine to support its reconstruction, Lloyd’s announced Wednesday.

The commitment follows an announcement earlier in the day by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on a new framework for war risk insurance.

Lloyd’s said the companies committed to “fast-track access” for insurance for both international and Ukrainian domestic companies.

The announcement did not include details on the timing or volume of coverage.
