BMS Re names facultative execs

BMS Re, the reinsurance unit of London-based specialty insurance broker BMS Group Ltd., Wednesday named Steve Housse, former U.S. property practice leader at Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, as managing director and facultative practice lead.

Dan Shea, former reinsurance broker at Lockton Re, was named senior vice president of property facultative. Mr. Housse and Mr. Shea will be based in Atlanta.

James Elliott, previously managing director at Gallagher Re, will join BMS Re as managing director and facultative practice lead in March 2024 once his current contractual obligations are completed, BMS Re said. He is based in London.

The hires come as BMS Re looks to build out its global facultative network.
