BMS hires operating chief from Gallagher Re

BMS Group Ltd. said Thursday that Gallagher Re executive Chris Brook will join the insurance and reinsurance brokerage next year as chief operating officer.

He will succeed Adam Stafford, who will take on a new role as group strategy and operations officer for BMS’s U.K. and international specialty businesses, a BMS statement said.

London-based Mr. Brook is currently global chief operating officer of Gallagher Re.

Prior to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s purchase of Willis Towers Watson PLC’s reinsurance business in 2021, Mr. Brook spent 20 years at Willis Re.

James Kent, former CEO of Willis Re, left his new role as CEO, global insurance strategic relationships, at Gallagher in June.
